For more than a century, alumni have been among the strongest supporters of the College-Institute. Every year HUC-JIR depends on alumni to help with the cost of educating HUC-JIR students. Each dollar you contribute is used immediately to meet student needs, sustain teaching, and support innovative programs and more. That is why your help is so important.
Your contribution will enable us to continue the important work of preparing the next generation of leaders. Your gift also sends a very important message to our other supporters about the importance of HUC-JIR in the lives of its graduates. Together we can ensure that students will continue to have the finest training as they prepare to join our community of colleagues and to meet the challenges of today’s Jewish world.
The choice is yours! We appreciate your support and that’s why we make it so easy to give. Simply choose the gift method that works best for you, or give us a call at 212-824-2202 to make your gift over the phone.
Individual donors and foundations often ask about the percentage of alumni giving. We can support the College-Institute's fundraising efforts by our participation in the Annual Fund. Every graduate of HUC-JIR is an honored and valued alumnus. As alumni, it is our privilege and sacred responsibility to support the training of the next generation of Jewish Professionals. Please demonstrate your commitment and donate now to the Alumni Annual Fund so that this time of new beginnings will blossom into a future blessed by vitality, fulfillment, and peace.

All contributions received in honor of alumni are pooled together in an umbrella fund called the L’Dor Va’Dor Scholarship Fund, an endowed scholarship fund. Each year, the College-Institute awards 5% of the fund balance for student scholarships. Names of alumni who create scholarships are recorded in perpetuity in the annual President's Report.
