Welcome to the HUC-JIR Jack H. Skirball Campus in Los Angeles!
If you should decide to take us up on that welcome and visit us, you will see something special going on in our classrooms, services, over lunch and in the hallways.
You will find students who are pursuing careers in almost every type of Jewish institution—not only synagogues but also schools and agencies—sharing distinct perspectives on our ancient texts and modern challenges.
Amongst its four thriving schools, the Skirball Campus faculty have created a unique forum for the fulfillment of the mission of HUC-JIR. The hallmark of our campus is the intellectual and professional cross-fertilization among our School of Rabbinical Studies, Rhea Hirsch School of Education, School of Jewish Nonprofit Management, and Louchheim School of Judaic Studies (which serves as USC’s undergraduate program in Jewish Studies). The leaders we produce emerge with a unique vision, colored both by the interchange among our diverse curricula, faculty and students, and by the overarching mission of service to the Jewish people that they share.
So, take us up on the offer and visit, virtually or in person, to experience our services or attend our open-houses. You’ll immediately grasp that something special is afoot.
