Recruitment Toolkit for Alumni: Mentoring the Next Generation of Jewish Leaders

Shalom Colleague!

You are the most important person in determining our future. Our research shows that you are the most significant influence on someone's decision to become a Jewish professional. Through your mentoring and recommending candidates for the graduate programs of HUC-JIR, we can create a strong student body, high-calibre leadership, and an exciting future for the Jewish people.

Our goal is to increase the quality and quantity of our applicant pool and the excellence of our students in every program, and there are many ways you can help:

  • If you know someone who would make a great Jewish professional, please let us know. Let us mentor and guide them together.
  • Invite your congregants, students, or other prospective leaders to our upcoming events (open houses, leadership weekends, webinars, and more!). Check out our schedule here.
  • Watch our most recent webinar on "Mentoring the Future: Best Practices for Fostering Future Jewish Leadership" here.
  • Share our academic viewbook with future leaders. Access the digital version here or contact us and we will send you hard copies.

We will be updating this page regularly with new information to share with tomorrow's Jewish leaders. If you have suggestions or would like to speak with a member of the National Office of Recruitment and Admissions team, please be in touch at explore@huc.edu.

In friendship,
