Rabbi Jim ProsnitWelcome to the Rabbinical Alumni Association!

The Rabbinical Alumni Association (RAA) is the organization tasked with nurturing the community among rabbinical alumni, strengthening the connection between the alumni and the College-Institute, and creating and sustaining initiatives that serve the ongoing needs of both the alumni and the College-Institute.

In order to fulfill this mission, the RAA provides opportunities to keep alumni informed about what is happening at the College-Institute and in the lives of fellow alumni.  We help to shape HUC-JIR's continuing education and professional development opportunities and we encourage and assist alumni in identifying and recruiting candidates interested in entering the rabbinate and other College-Institute programs.

On this site you are able to see our latest news, find who is a part of the RAA leadership, and access our up-to-date alumni directory. We hope that you will keep connected, helping us to grow stronger as an organization and in our support of HUC-JIR.

B'Shalom,
Rabbi Jim Prosnit, President, Rabbinical Alumni Association

Mission

The mission of the Rabbinical Alumni Association (RAA) is to create a nurturing community amongst the alumni; to strengthen the connection between the alumni and the College-Institute; and to create and sustain initiatives that serve the on-going needs of both the alumni and the College-Institute.

In order to fulfill this mission, the RAA creates community by providing opportunities to keep alumni informed about what is going on at the College-Institute and in the lives of fellow alumni.  The RAA provides continuing education and professional learning opportunities for its members.  The RAA serves the College-Institute in various ways, including engaging in development efforts and encouraging and assisting alumni in identifying and recruiting candidates interested in entering the rabbinate and other College-Institute programs.  The RAA builds connections with current College-Institute students in anticipation of  including them in the alumni community.  The RAA collaborates with the administration, faculty and the Alumni Leadership Council to accomplish this mission.
