Welcome to the DFSSM Alumni Association!

We are committed to fostering a vital relationship between our alumni, our beloved school, and the students who study on the Taube Family Campus in Jerusalem and the New York campus. We hope that you will visit us often, offer your feedback, and keep connected, helping us to grow stronger as an organization and in our support of our alma mater.

Working Groups

As the DFSSM’s priorities continue to evolve with HUC-JIR’s strategic initiatives, we assemble working groups – alumni volunteers who are dedicated to advancing key priorities through the Alumni Association – when and how they can do the most good each year. Recent groups have included:

  • Community Building: Connecting with alumni on Facebook; reaching out to alumni on memorable milestone occasions, helping to foster a sense of community among the Alumni Association, alumni, and the College-Institute.
  • Outreach to Students: Reaching out to students in many different ways: events, letters, gifts, and other worthy projects that benefit the students and connect them to the Alumni Association from their very first year in Israel to their 5th year before Ordination.
  • Recruitment: Working closely with the College-Institute Admissions and Recruitment staff: brainstorm ideas and support the School and the College-Institute in recruitment efforts; recommend alumni recruitment ambassadors; make presentations at URJ camps, Hava Nashira, and other Jewish musical and Reform venues; guide prospective DFSSM students through the application process.
