Upon the satisfactory completion of the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music Cantorial Program, you will be eligible for cantorial placement through the American Conference of Cantors and will become a full-fledged member of the organization. In addition to placement opportunities, the American Conference of Cantors offers its members continuing education, professional support, and membership in a community of colleagues.

Our graduates find employment in Reform congregations throughout North America and Progressive congregations in the greater Jewish world. Recent graduates have served as sole cantors in small and medium congregations and as assistant cantors in larger congregations. Others have become cantor-educators and one recent graduate has become a military chaplain.
