DeLeT students receive generous scholarships bringing the cost of tuition down to $5,000 for the 13-month program.

Students should budget $2,000 for the state-mandated tests, textbooks, and other reading materials.

As students at HUC-JIR, fellows are required to carry health insurance. Students are eligible to enroll in the University of Southern California (USC) Student Health Insurance Plan if they need a plan. Students who are already covered by health insurance plans through their families are required to provide proof of this coverage for the entire 13-month period of the Fellowship.

In addition, for all weeks they are taking classes at the Los Angeles HUC-JIR Skirball Campus, all students have access to the convenient and highly regarded USC Engemann Student Health Center on the USC campus, adjacent to the Skirball campus. Students are assessed a health fee for this service. Students are required to pay a fee to the USC Student Health Service for all weeks they are taking classes on campus.

Students receive a stipend of $10,000 over the 10 months of the school year. Students may also be eligible for federal student loans to cover the tuition cost and living expenses. To apply for student loans please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – and use the school code G04054.
