Hebrew Union College is pleased to announce its Summer Modern Hebrew Institute in New York. Our purpose is to provide the motivated student at every level with the opportunity for serious and challenging study of Modern Hebrew in the space of a few weeks. These courses may be taken for credit (graduate) or non-credit. We welcome all lovers of learning and of Hebrew.
ALEF Intensive Beginning Modern Hebrew - The equivalent of the first semester of a first-year, college-level Hebrew class.

BET Intensive Advanced Beginning Modern Hebrew - The equivalent of the second semester of a first-year, college-level Hebrew course.

GIMEL Intermediate Intensive Modern Hebrew - The equivalent of the first semester of a second-year, college-level Hebrew course.

DALET Advanced Intermediate Intensive Modern Hebrew - The equivalent of the second semester of second-year, college-level Hebrew course.

These courses are ideal for anyone preparing to take the Hebrew Proficiency test for the rabbinical, cantorial, and education schools at HUC-JIR and for the individual who wants to rapidly master the basics of reading, writing, and speaking Modern Hebrew.
