HUC-JIR Distance Education course on "Judaism and Islam" Offered by HUC-JIR Joint Commission for Sustaining Rabbinic Education

The HUC-JIR Joint Commission for Sustaining Rabbinic Education in cooperation with the HUC-JIR Department for Distance Education is proud to announce our third and final mini-course of fall 2002, entitled "Judaism and Islam." This timely and relevant teleconference course features noted Islamic studies scholar, Reuven Firestone, and Senior Reporter for the Jerusalem Report, Yossi Klein Halevi.

Rabbinic Alumni will struggle the relationship of Jews and Muslims both past and present while trying to gain an understanding of our common ground for dialogue. The lectures take place on three consecutive Wednesdays: December 4th, 11th, and 18th at 1:00 pm via teleconference call; participants who are unable to be present for the live calls can replay the calls later.

For more information please visit the Joint Commission website or call The Director of the JCSRE Rabbi Ellen Nemhauser at (513) 221-1875 ext. 397. This course should not to be missed!
