In this lecture and dramatic reading at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Dr. Marcia Falk will discuss her poetic process. Dr. Falk will present selections from her book, The Book of Blessings: New Jewish Prayers for Daily Life, the Sabbath, and the New Moon Festival, which revision Jewish liturgy from a gender inclusive perspective.
Dr. Falk is the Rabbi Sally J. Priesand Visiting Professor of Jewish Women's Studies at HUC-JIR/Cincinnati and Visiting Scholar at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
