 Cantor Dana Anesi Director of Student Placement for the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music 
Cantor Dana Anesi, the Director of Student Placement for the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music, is a 2010 graduate of HUC-JIR’s Doctor of Ministry program, as well as the DFSSM, in 1980. She also currently serves as senior cantor at Temple Beth El of Northern Westchester in Chappaqua, NY. Cantor Anesi has held a number of positions in the Reform movement: as chair of the Alumni Council of HUC-JIR, the DFSSM Alumni Association, and the Joint Cantorial Placement Commission; and was the 1st of the non-rabbinic alumni to be a member of the Board of Governors of HUC-JIR. Cantor Anesi also holds certificates in Crisis Counseling; and in Clinical Education for Pastoral Ministry; is a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors; and sits on the Advisory Board of the New York chapter of Planned Parenthood’s Concerned Clergy for Choice.
